IDOX News Service
The IDOX News Service is an online digital newspaper cutting service with content provided by the NLA's (Newspaper Licensing Authority) ClipSearch database.
Combining news resources into one easily-searchable database, the IDOX News Service allows you to:
- Find information on your organisation in the news media, saving time by searching one database rather than several different newspaper websites
- Search using simple keywords by newspaper, date, or author
- Access content not available online anywhere else: around 30% of newspaper stories are not freely published on the web
- View and download PDF files of articles in the format they were originally published, so you can see how the story was placed in the newspaper, or simply view and download a PDF of the article text if you prefer
- Browse the database to find a specific article based on known date and newspaper
- Set up email alerts to inform you of your organisation's mentions in the papers, or on any topic you choose
- Pay only for the articles you view or download, searching is free once you are registered
Access to the IDOX News Service is available on a pay-as-you-go basis and starts from as little as £150 (plus VAT).
Articles appear on the IDOX News Service three days after publication, so an article published in the Monday edition of a newspaper will be available on the database by Thursday morning. Coverage dates back to 2006 and over 9 million articles are already on the database, offering an affordable, high-quality newspaper research service.
